@grimgrinners Hybrids have just been born, really. I’m sure that soon, in Texas, or somewhere in America they’ll make Hybrids into huge American beasts of cars (and trucks) only getting 25 mpg out of space age engines. Then I’ll buy one of those American (with chinese parts) cars.

In a free country people should be free to buy whatever car they want. Yes, there are “third party effects” (also called neighborhood effects…i.e. pollution). The proper way to deal with that is a yearly state (not federal) excise tax (only on vehicle that are actually driven…not just “owned”.

Just because people dont buy hybrid cars doesnt mean that they shouldnt buy hybrid cars.. Hybrid cars are more expensive than normal cars, and arent always better on the environment, but Glenn is just using stupid logic

@martind586 No one is talking about trashing the planet, and man made GW is a hoax, not to mention solutions are more of a hoax at the moment. Oil companies I couldnt care less about. When free market creates solutions, that is when I will be for them. Government mandating one solution means that the possible future solutions may not come to fruition.
