Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles
A video by Plug-in Partners promoting the many benefits of Plugin Hybrids Electric Vehicles. If the current US vehicle fleet were replaced overnight with PHEVs, oil consumption would decrease by 70 to 90 percent, eliminating the need for oil imports and leaving the US self-sufficient in oil for many years to come. Even if the electrical power for those vehicles were drawn from coal-fired power plants, CO2 emissions would drop by more than half. If the power were produced by renewable energy sources, and the fuel in the tank were biodiesel or ethanol, the proposition gets exponentially better. And you can get 100+ MPG!

United States are running a fake capitalism and free market. They are scamming each other. Of course, ordinary people are the ultimate payers.
If all down hill roads can facilitate electric generator and chargers from/for vehicles. There are a lot of electricity saved. How about all freeways build road side parabolic sunlight focused power generators? We need to build this kind of infrastructures. Don’t the crude oil monopoly continues faking our North America civilization into a joke.

For the SAME energy it takes to ‘MAKE’ a Gallon of GAS, I can use this same energy to drive an electric car today at the US 2011 MPG target. The oil companies can leave the oil in the ground.

The ultimate solution for saving this planet is to wipeout all humans. Just like the solution to unwanted pregnancy is abstinence… But since both options are out of the question, they should start to commercialize EV’s and Zero Point Energy systems and generators. You know, its not that I’m against alternatives – but its comments like this that expect ridiculous things. You can either go backwards and to a prehistoric footprint where everyone lives like the Amish, you can try to put more government incursion into peoples lives that they already have and ban cars and who knows what else, or you can try to help get new technology off the ground that will help energy and vehicles. I like to think the 3rd option is the best. MT and bikes dont help rural areas
