People in Britain have not yet reached epic proportions, unlike the U.S…
Although worryingly i have noticed a steady increase in young wobbly females in
the Uk, and it seems to be acceptable in that generation, so obesity is on the way.
Thats another reason for ditching the battery idea and finding something more
realistic…..

americans are embracing battery cars when you are used to suv gas junkies..
You burn up all oil reserves and then expect every other nation to embrace your
battery powered Lotus, in the Uk we have a large retired population, these people
will buy coal powered battery cars and forget to fully charge them or leave their
lights on, then proceed to run flat on the Highway/ Motorway causing mayhem.
And Nuclear power no way.

@alfistii1 okay, with gas engines you can only use gas. With electric cars you can use electricity. I know that the majority of electricty comes from oil, coal, ect. But that can change, unlike gas engines

Where does electricity come from, well most people know it comes from burning
coal, tons and tons of the stuff, not very green or eco friendly..
what happens when the batteries run flat on the motorways/ highway where some retired person forgot to fully charge their milkfloat.
Also these battery cars are dangerous to kids who won’t hear it comming before
an impact, same for blind people. These battery cars when charging put out as
much if not more co% than average petrol cars.

@emforty2 Excellent point! I would much rather give my money to advance this technology than perpetuate a petroleum based economy. My greatest wish for this country is a return to economic independence. I think this would be a huge move in that direction. In this country, we vote with our dollars. I will certainly invest in this company when they are public.

@EvolveVolvo, I had hoped the government would give the money to Tesla rather than bail out the car companies producing the same old technology as well. That really could have been a catalyst to launch us forward into an eventual economic independence. I am middle class and appreciate the need to keep a paying job, but I would like to see our country merge auto workers into that technology more urgently.

Something obviously went wrong in September 2009. Did they cause Sumatra? GM said their is NO MARKET for electric cars so they crushed the EV-1s

yet TESLA has no problem selling all the $110,000 electric cars they produce
